The poem "Thomas and Beulah" by Rita Dove is my favorite poem from all of her work. In the poem, she talks about the daily lives and struggles of her maternal grandparents. I have always been close to my grandparents, so I can relate to that poem. Unfortunately, they are no longer with us right now, but I would always be grateful for all the wonderful memories they have shared with me. I know that they are in a better place right now.
