The fine website LitHub shared "To the Lady Who Mistook Me for the Help at the National Book Awards," a beautiful piece by Patrick Rosal. Which made me think of "The Myth of the Latin Woman: I Just Met a Girl Named Maria" by Judith Ortiz Cofer.

What other works come to mind?
